con\u00adtaining material from IAEA labo\u00adratory Seibersdorf\/ Austria for EDLOW Inter\u00adna\u00adtional Co.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In December 2021 Orano NCS GmbH was able to execute suc\u00adcessfully an SK III (FS) transport of two con\u00adtainers with plu\u00adtonium-con\u00adtaining material from the IAEA labo\u00adratory in Seibersdorf\/Austria via Germany to the port of Antwerp in Belgium by&nbsp;truck.<\/p>\n<p>The project started with pro\u00adcessing of our customer\u2019s inquiries and exami\u00adnation of dif\u00adferent transport pos\u00adsi\u00adbi\u00adlities with long-standing partners of Orano NCS&nbsp;GmbH.<\/p>\n<p>During the internal pre-planning of the transport, the most reasonable solution for the cus\u00adtomer could be worked out and pro\u00adcessed in a detailed transport offer.<br>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=\u201d1_2\u2033 _builder_version=\u201d4.16\u2033 custom_padding=\u201d12px|||\u201d global_colors_info=\u201d{}\u201d]<\/p>\n<p>Par\u00adallel to this process, under the lea\u00addership of Orano NCS GmbH, German reco\u00adgnition for the 9975 type B(M)F con\u00adtainer was applied at the Federal Office for Nuclear Waste Dis\u00adposal Safety (BASE).<\/p>\n<p>Reco\u00adgnition of the pack\u00adaging in Germany was obtained in Sep\u00adtember 2021 as the basis for app\u00adlying the transport permit in Germany.<\/p>\n<p>The appli\u00adcation for transport permits for transit countries as Austria, Germany and Belgium was suc\u00adcessfully managed by Orano NCS&nbsp;GmbH.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the clas\u00adsi\u00adfi\u00adcation of the material as SK III (FS), the special regu\u00adla\u00adtions for the phy\u00adsical pro\u00adtection of the material had to be observed and their imple\u00admen\u00adtation had to be orga\u00adnized by the police and the carrier.<\/p>\n<p>For Germany, the phy\u00adsical pro\u00adtection of the material was ensured by Orano NCS GmbH per\u00adsonnel and the company\u2019s own escort vehicles, among others.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=\u201d1_2,1_2\u2033 the start of the transport, end of November 2021, the con\u00adtainers were stowed sea\u00adworthy in a 20\u2032 con\u00adtainer by Orano NCS GmbH and our subcontractor.<\/p>\n<p>Sub\u00adse\u00adquently, under the gui\u00addance of Orano NCS GmbH per\u00adsonnel, the accom\u00adpanying docu\u00adments could be com\u00adpleted and the transport could start its way via Germany and Belgium to the port of Antwerp.<\/p>\n<p>In Antwerp the con\u00adtainer was loaded onto an ocean-going vessel and trans\u00adported to&nbsp;USA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The transport including all escorts as well as the appli\u00adcation for the con\u00adtainer reco\u00adgnition and the transport permit could be carried out to the com\u00adplete satis\u00adfaction of the
